This was the challenge faced by a German developer of security platforms. Renowned for its certified Security-as-a-Service platform, the company specializes in protecting digital business processes. However, as their platform aged, the need for a comprehensive overhaul and modernization became evident. The client’s web application, initially built on Angular 1, had reached its limits. Angular 1, or AngularJS, had long since been declared obsolete, with no updates or community support to rely on. This lack of support hindered the platform’s ability to scale and evolve alongside the growing demands of its user base.
Moreover, maintaining and improving the application required skills that were no longer widely available. The outdated technology created a gap that made innovation difficult. To address the client’s challenges, Opinov8 undertook a complete redevelopment of the application, leveraging a modern tech stack that included React, TypeScript, Next.js, and GraphQL. This approach ensured the platform was scalable, maintainable, and equipped to support future growth.
A reusable UI Kit was designed and developed to establish visual consistency across the platform. Each design element was carefully reviewed for alignment with the client’s style guide, ensuring a cohesive and professional user experience. This approach enhanced both development efficiency and user satisfaction, setting a strong foundation for modernization.
Opinov8 developed a modern, intuitive web platform that empowered the client’s customers with essential tools. Users gained the ability to set up SSL certificates, configure DNS settings, and access comprehensive analytics and statistics. Advanced features like complex permission handling and front-end validations were seamlessly integrated, ensuring secure and efficient interaction for users at all levels.
The redevelopment extended to backend modernization, with Opinov8 building a proxy backend layer powered by GraphQL. This new layer streamlined API communication, offering greater flexibility and efficiency for integrations.
